PRESS RELEASE

Pindrop® Security CEO to Participate in Panel on Cyber Security Trends

Leaders in security will discuss the past, present and future of the cyber threat landscape

ATLANTA – March 1, 2015 – Pindrop Security, the pioneer in phone fraud prevention and call center authentication, today announced that its co-founder and CEO, Vijay Balasubramaniyan, Ph.D., will participate in a panel at the 9th Annual IT Security Entrepreneurs Forum (ITSEF) in Mountain View, California on March 18, 2015. The session, titled, “What Types of Attacks Do Cybersecurity SMEs See Trending Over The Next One to Three Years?,” will examine the current methods hackers are using to target businesses and the solutions to prevent these evolving threats.

Increasingly robust and comprehensive cyber security technology has necessitated a return to the phone channel for cyber criminals. These phone fraudsters deploy the same tactics as cyber criminals to perpetrate their crimes, often using information obtained from data breaches to access personal accounts through call centers. Additionally, the rise of smart devices that use voice as the primary interface will need solutions capable of authenticating voice wherever it is used to interact with technology.

The panel, to be moderated by John Petrik, editor of CyberWire CyberPoint International, will feature thought leaders from Pindrop Security, Walmart, RiskIQ, Crowdstrike, Norse and CSC. Panelists will explore today’s current threat landscape, as well as postulate on how attacks will evolve over the coming years.
