One declined credit card started a bigger conversation

Inspired by a personal story, Dr. Vijay Balasubramaniyan founded Pindrop in 2011 after experiencing frustration when his credit card was unexpectedly declined while making a purchase abroad.

The sense of mistrust that followed highlighted a deeper issue in voice-based interactions. Determined to address this gap, Vijay set out to build technology that helps restore trust and enhance secure communication.
