Today, Pindrop was named to Inc.’s 2025 Best in Business list in the Best in Innovation category. This isn’t just an award—it’s recognition of the years of research, engineering breakthroughs, and sheer persistence that have pushed Pindrop to the forefront of AI security. The companies honored in this category are redefining what’s possible, and I’m proud that Pindrop stands among them.

Pindrop’s origin story is a research lab. Long before deepfakes and AI-driven social engineering became daily threats, we were building the foundational science behind modern voice authentication. That work now spans over 300 patents issued and pending, covering signal processing, behavioral biometrics, synthetic speech detection, and real-time conversational AI analysis.
Those patents are not trophies. They’re the backbone of a platform that’s been engineered to stay ahead of adversaries who evolve every single day.
Our research team has one unifying obsession: staying several steps ahead of the threat curve. Their work regularly anticipates fraud trends years before they hit the enterprise surface. It’s why Pindrop has consistently out-innovated competitors and why we’re now shaping the next frontier of digital trust.
A milestone that belongs to our team
This recognition reflects the curiosity, technical rigor, and grit of everyone at Pindrop. The team pairs scientific depth with real-world delivery—turning breakthrough papers into deployed solutions across the Fortune 500. This year alone, that combination of research and execution paid off again.
Our launch of Pindrop® Pulse, the industry’s first deepfake defense for virtual meetings, came out of months of adversarial testing and detection modeling. The work tackled one of the most urgent emerging threats: real-time AI impersonation aimed at executives, finance teams, and operational leaders. Our engineers didn’t just solve a problem—they solved it at enterprise scale, without compromising user experience.
A CTO’s point of view
This award carries special weight for me. Pindrop was built on the belief that security should be grounded in science, not guesswork. Every patent we file, every model we ship, every detection breakthrough we make is a step toward a future where people can trust what they see and hear again.
Innovation only matters when it improves people’s lives. That’s the bar we set for ourselves—and the reason we’re willing to challenge assumptions, throw away models that aren’t good enough, and pursue ideas others think are “too hard” or “too early.” The velocity we’ve reached as a company isn’t accidental; it’s the result of choosing the harder path every time.
What’s ahead
Being named one of Inc.’s Best in Business innovators validates the work we’ve done, but it also sharpens our focus on what must come next. With deepfakes now the second-most common cybersecurity incident in the U.S. and Generative AI–driven fraud projected to reach $40B by 2027, innovation in trust and identity verification cannot slow down.
Our mission remains clear: secure every interaction—every voice, every video—in real time, no matter how sophisticated AI becomes.
Thank you to Inc. for this recognition, and thank you to every member of the Pindrop team whose work made it possible. This moment reflects our past, but even more, it signals the future we’re building.
Here’s to what we’ve created—and what’s coming next.
