The Job

Pindrop's new cloud-based Authentication product is dedicated to helping call centers establish security, identity, and trust on every voice interaction using machine learning and audio science.

As an Engineer on the Authentication team, you will build a high quality cloud service by introducing test automation and fresh test strategies. If customers are unhappy with the product’s quality, it falls to you to organize and coordinate a response together with the product owner and team lead. When defect rate and severity is low, you’ll walk around the office with a smile on your face… and a bit of paranoia about where the next big issue is lurking. 🙂 


  • Write code every day to test normal and exceptional behaviors in your team’s services
  • Plan, document, and record test strategies, approaches, and procedures
  • Make the hard-to-test easy by adding test methods, fixtures, mocks, and other utilities to the team’s code base
  • Review designs and pull requests for code quality and risk and also refactor code to improve its testability
  • Double-check the diligence of your teammates by reviewing their automated test cases to help find and address gaps
  • Provide mentorship to other software engineers – you’re the quality thought leader and expert, so you will teach other engineers to be better testers in order to increase product quality

What Skills We're Looking For:

  • Programming experience with Python, Ruby, or Java
  • API testing experience
  • Experience in a Linux environment
  • Focus on product quality and always putting the best possible product in front of customers
  • Experience with Agile, continuous integration (Jenkins, Travis, etc.), dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and strong communication skills
  • BS in Computer Science or relevant professional experience
