Research Engineer – Machine Learning

The Job

The Pindrop Authentication Research team is focused on developing new technologies and product lines to enhance our ability to authenticate legitimate users using big data and audio science. We're constantly looking to find new ways to utilize the data we are ingesting from the analysis of voice and audio channels.

As a Research Engineer, you will work with streaming audio data to build robust machine learning pipelines for feature calculation, model training, prediction, reporting, fault recovery, and more. You will touch all aspects of this pipeline while developing novel applied machine learning products.


  • Implement machine learning algorithms and develop new product lines to help establish trust on every voice interaction
  • Deliver high performance code into production cloud applications in a team environment
  • Operate in an enterprise-class Agile product development environment by demonstrating comfort with process and tools including IDE’s, compilers, debuggers, profilers, version control systems, code coverage tools, automated testing tools, and usability

What Skills We're Looking For:

  • Strong software development experience with Python, C++, or a similar language
  • Experience in a Linux environment
  • Experience implementing machine learning algorithms in a professional environment
  • Deep understanding of both relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience with Amazon AWS, EC2, S3, and Cloud would be a plus
  • MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (a focus on Machine Learning is ideal)
