Marketing Events Manager

Location: Atlanta

The Job

Pindrop is looking for a Marketing Events Manager who is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing the company’s internal and external events and trade shows for North America, some Global Events, including customer and user conferences, and the company’s large internal meetings, including President’s Club and Global Kick Off. The Events Manager will collaborate with the company’s marketing leadership team to develop the overall event plan for the year as well as own the company’s event calendar.

The Marketing Events Manager will also make sure that there is a  strategy to articulate key objectives and outcomes and expected ROI for all events and programs. The Events Manager will be responsible for the production and execution of all events, and will be jointly responsible for setting and achieving event objectives. The Events Manager will also build relationships with key inside and outside partners and vendors who are critical to the effective execution and production of the events.

What You'll Do:

Develop events strategy in line with the overall marketing strategy. Execute strategy including but not limited to: sourcing and managing hotels and meeting space, A/V, travel and food and beverage needs for all hosted events; supporting writing efforts including email templates, abstracts, briefs and descriptions; and working with travel under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager:

  • Help build the events strategy to be in line with our target audience and overall company strategy using current evaluation points as well as decision making metrics: cost per lead, conversion rates and program costs
  • Build events strategy and execu including event website, registration, agenda and content
  • Maintain budget for events by month, quarter and year
  • Work with Sales directly to build a strong relationship between Marketing and Sales including sales support and supervision of marketing events to their prospects and following up on leads
  • Manage the online portal for warehouse inventory for events
  • Oversee inventory of all events supplies including promotional items and booth properties
  • Manage registration process, including but not limited to building registration sites, email templates and communications
  • Contribute to planning for a first-time User Conference for Pindrop clients
  • Develop and present event strategies and plans to internal departments and stakeholders
  • Work with other parts of the marketing department to keep events up to date in all aspects including website and social media
  • Provide event inquiry metrics to Senior Marketing Manager monthly, and track results from all events
  • Host pre and post-event meetings with event stakeholders in order to brief them as well as gather feedback in order to coordinate what is needed for internal and external clients
  • Maintain close relationships with sales and field marketing

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience building and managing events, trade shows, user conferences and internal board meetings
  • Experience working with events as a form of demand generation
  • Strong communication skills in person as well as through email
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience working with event and registration software, Salesforce.com and mobile event apps
  • Must be a multi-tasker with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience and level of comfort working closely with clients and all levels of management
  • Must be a self-starter who is passionate about the opportunity to work in a start-up type of environment and is accepting of different views, ideas and change
  • Experience building and managing large conferences
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors
  • Experience with social media and current event technologies
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Adobe Suite a plus
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%
