What you’ll do 

At Pindrop, we commit to creating Evangelical Customers for Life; because of this, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve the customer experience we are now looking for an experienced VP of Infrastructure (overseeing DevOps, operations, and IT). You will be responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations that meet our customers' needs.   • Manage the infrastructure team to include DevOps, Networking, and Voice Networking as well as the internal corporate IT team
  • Lead your teams to deliver with a high level of executive and achievement
  • Collaborate with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
  • Work with engineers, product and project managers in the development of technical solutions and road maps
  • Analyze current processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary
  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
  • Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
  • Identify technical problems and develop solutions
  • Work with software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

Your skill-set 

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related field
  • 8+ years in a DevOps senior leadership role in a relevant field
  • Additional experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role(s)
  • Experience with multi-cloud environments required (ideally AWS and GCP but not required)
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, architecture, etc. 
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
  • Proven ability to plan and manage the operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs
  • Ability to streamline or implement new structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
  • Demonstrated history working within a distributed architecture and CI/CD best practices
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management

Nice to have skills

  • Experience managing teams supporting Google Cloud platform rollouts
  • Experience leading and or supporting platform engineering teams, driving alignment
  • Previous experience managing a corporate IT team
  • Experience with networking concepts within firewall, switch, and router configuration including: VLANs, DNS, VPNs, BGP, ACLs, etc.
  • Telephony infrastructure experience
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions that lead to increased productivity

  • Begin getting familiar with our different products, services, workflows, deployments, and environments

Within 60 days you’ll

  • Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Assess cloud costs and create plans for cost optimization and cost reduction
  • Design department-wide procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Within 90 days you’ll
